2013 Chilean Audit by Consejo para la Transparencia

The report 'Fiscalización en Derecho de Acceso a la Información Pública a Oganismos Públicos, Consejo para la Transparencia' describes the results of 244 requests of acess public information. The requests were divided in two parts to be sent half by internet and half in person. The goal was to create a ranking of the well-evaluated institutions and also to obtain an index of transparency in the country. The grades were based on three types of evaluations: barriers to access, processing of the application and resolution of the request.

Two copies of the same request were sent to the same public body: one by virtual mean and the other other was submited in person. 65 municipalities, 21 public services,11 hospitals with self-management and others public institutions received the requests.
