2006 - Guatemalan Audit by Acción Ciudadana

The report "Indicadores de acceso a la información pública en Guatemala" presents the results from a passive transparency audit of 162 public entities in Guatemala by Acción Ciudadana (Citizen Action). Access to information requests were sent between September 7 and 27 October 2006 to conduct the evaluation. The study analyzed the request and response procedure, as well as the quality and accessibility of the responses that were received.

Methodology: 

The study sent 162 information requests from four categories of information: budgeting, planning, civil service and institutional performance. For each request the solicitation and response process was evaluated, as well as the quality and accessibility of the response that was received.
